With Everybody Dance Now, Amare is launching the ultimate new International Social Dance Festival: a single festival ticket for socialdance, workshops, and spectacular national and international dance performances and live music, programmed by Amare in co-production with our social dance partners. From lindy hop to hip-hop, from salsato house, and from the dance floor to the stage: all of Amare isdancing, and everyone is welcome. This first edition takes place during Amare’s 5th-anniversary weekend.
Everyone feels it more than ever, it’s time to dance, or, as Son Mieux once said at Amare: “The Hague: I want to dance with you, baby!”

Social dance begins where people meet: in clubs, community spaces, streets, ballrooms and on dance floors. From swing, salsa and lindy hop to hiphop,house, dancehall, waacking, voguing,breaking andafro styles, these dances grew from communities,music cultures and shared histories.
They are passed on from body to body, generation to generation. Social dance is about rhythm, identity, freedom and connection. It is not only something to watch, but something to join.
With this festival, Amare celebrates the richness of social dance together with its social dance partners. The programme creates space for the communities that carry these cultures, through workshops, battles, talks, performances, jams and club-inspired events.
Amare organises this festival because dance belongs to everyone. It brings people together across styles, backgrounds and generations. Whether you are an experienced dancer or stepping onto the floor for the first time, this is an invitation to move, meet and celebrate together.
